GRANVILLE STREET

  • OVERVIEW
  • The DVBIA is an organization that collaborates with locals to help enhance and beautify the public realm of downtown Vancouver. In 2020, Granville Street was receiving new banners, and DVBIA was asking for submitting designs to be featured.
  • CHALLENGE
  • The banner has to promote the identity of Granville street, and to reflect the nature or character of the street in some way.
  • SOLUTION
  • I chose the bright gradient color with high saturations as these colors are pop and picked up nicely when sun shines through it. The inspiration came from the night view of Granville Street. I drew the silhouette of some architectures and blended them into the gradient background.
